After returning to in-person school after one year away, students were invited to make their mark on the school, declaring their presence with a handprint.  Students could choose the media and process for their handprint.  Patagonian Cave Paintings served as inpsiration.

Concept:  Community.  Inspiration:  Bee Hives.  Media:  Paper, dry media.  In this collaborative project, students created a cell reflecting an important aspect or member of our school and broader community.  

Concept:  How can motion help artists communicate an idea?  Inspiration Artist:  Theo Jansen.  Media:  Student Choice.  In this Project Based Learning unit, students were given the challenge of using simple machines in their work.  They had a broad design brief and used the steps of PBL to do deep inquiry, artist and methods research.  The unit ended in students publishing and presenting their work.
